The Edge Insight will not work with LML-equipped vehicles. I know another member said he has it working on his truck, but it will not give me any readings that I need. It shows MPH, trans temp., etc., but it will not show boost, anything DPF-related, EGT's, etc. I filed a claim with Edge a few weeks back, and they left a message for me yesterday saying that they have an update. However, the Insight is not compatible with the 2011 trucks. So, essentially they said if the update doesn't work don't call us. Well, it doesn't work. I'm going to put it on eBay. It's worthless if it doesn't give the info you wanted! I guess I'll run blind for now when towing. :(

I thought I'd let the LML guys know so you don't end up with a paper weight.

Considering the LML has a totally new PCM, thats not really surprising.

Yea i got one expecting it to work too and so far it can only read like 8 things. Im really hoping there will be an update soon so that it will read more things.
Even the backup camera doesnt automatically turn on when put in reverse, which is the main reason i got the darn thing... kinda frustrating

I,m lucky I have a GM Tech II, so I can monitor everything. But it isn't exactly fun to have in the cab for a trip.
Because
1. It plugs into the port under the dash, so that means all of that cable is near your legs and it has a can bus adapter plugged into it also which is more bulk.
2. The unit is pretty big and the cable is pretty stiff.
3. There is no where to mount it it will slide around.
But it will do everything, just not practical for everday use like gauges are.
And then there is the cost $$$$. I have other can bus scanners I would think they would monitor engine data. I'll try one and see, if they work I'll let you know and they aren't too pricy $ but again they won't change or tune anything. I did read some post somewhere about guy's that have put egt and boost gauges in their LML's.

Hey Trevor just wait and see in the generation 6 trucks that the ECM will not except any tampering except from GM what so ever and if it does get tampered with other than GM the truck will not start:eek:

And you know this how? You know that process inside the ECM that says that truck will not stock with a Non-GM calibration?

The absolute farthest thing from the truth, poor guy!

Ps. Edge isent to far out on an update for the insight. Dont sell it.

I am running one with the EAS pyro and am using the 4 gauge analog (Pyro, Ect, Rpm and Ert) Works and looks great!

This could be an interesting solution. Will be looking to see if it will monitor boost, egt's, ect and if it will work with a diesel.

I would look at the Ultragauge for $59. I have one in my 02 and it is awesome. It works with all OBD2 vehicles and displays as many parameters as the ECM allows.

Canbus vehicles have a ton of gauges available to view.

Nope, who ever you spoke with gave you wrong info. I am on the Beta team and we have not received anything yet.

Actually I was right the first time. Boost, dpf related info is not available just tried the public update to make sure and sure enough nothing different. If we haven't recieved anything yet I'm sure no one else has

My Insight has been collecting dust at my office. I knew they would eventually get around to making it work, so I kept it. I'm crossing my fingers for a DEF level indicator! Thanks for the update guys, and keep us posted on the beta testing!

Nope. Don't have half of those. If I did, I wouldn't have felt I wasted my money on the Insight.

Edge still doesn't list the lml on their web page. You would think that if they offered LML specific monitoring that they would advertise it. I am getting pretty anxious for this "update".
