I currently have the airbox mod that TXChristopher sells. I have noticed that my IAT when I'm going down the highway is right about ambient temperature. However, when I'm in town or sitting and idling my IAT climbs way up there. Like 40 or 50 degrees above the outside temp.

What I'm wondering is would the Banks Ram Air with the Super Scoop solve my problem or would everything be about the same?

Heat soak when sitting will register quicker on your IAT engine sensor(trapped underhood heat) than OAT mirror sensor(located in front of radiator behind bumper).perfectly normal.Banks setup wont do anything but lighten your wallet.
Have you modded your airbox and removed inner fender foil to provide additional air to compliment TxC mod?

Ok sounds good. I have taken the foil out of the fender.

Remove the blanket under hood in summer helps it cool out once it has air motion. You probably want that blanket in winter though up in SD it gets cold.
