I keep getting this squealing noise from the rear of the truck on sharp turns. Sounds like a real bad brake squeal but the pads are brand new. Also I do not need to be on the brakes when I get the noise just when making sharp turns. I checked to see if the backing plates were touching but there not. Any ideas.
Wonder if you have a rock hung up that shifts and makes contact when cornering. Does it only happen when turning one direction?

My rear u-joint was making all kinds of squeaking sounds before it was replaced under warranty.

Good idea. I think it makes the noise on left turns only. I will check it out this weekend in a large parking lot. Seems like it needs to be hot too. The squeal is wicked loud too that doesn't change when I hit the brakes. Thanks.

My Dad had a tiny rock between the brake disc and backing plate on his car and it made an incredible squeal. had to take the wheel off to find it, turned out it was a granite pebble probably picked up from street work on the way to his house. :shake:

Wheel bearings? The load on the bearing changes when you turn.
Could be wheel bearings? I need to do some more checking this weekend. Thanks. Got to get a Ford Super Duty I am working on for a friend out of my garage so I can work on my stuff.
