Sometimes when I hit a bump I hear a rattle in the steering column and it also shakes a little bit...what could this mean? And also when it happens sometimes I can hear like rods or something shaking, I think something might be loose. Any thoughts?

Our steering shafts develop slack over time and make these noises. You can replace the shaft, they're fairly inexpensive, or just pack it full of grease like I did.
