I have an '01 with 200,000 mi. The oil pressure has been steadily dropping for the last week. Used to be 40 at idle and 65 at 70 and now is 15 at idle and 35 at 70. Sending unit was replaced, no change. Also no oil leaks or oil consumption. Never had a vehicle where the oil pump went out. Could this be the problem?

do you have diesel in the oil? Leaking Injectors could cause that problem.

those pressures are the same I got when injectors starting dumping fuel in oil at 215,000. :eek: :( Good Luck

Same thing when my injectors went away at 150,000 - numbers were almost identical.
