Did a search and found the question asked but never answered......I had my lower ball joint (pass side) replaced by the dealer last month and it appears they damaged the zerk in the process. I couldn't get it to accept grease and on futher inspection it appears deformed and has a small crack in it (balls jamed). If I can replace it, I will do or its back to the dealer for another joint.....Has anyone replaced this zerk?? Thanks.... Bill

Most Zerk grease fittings are replacable.
They just screw in to the hole.
Look to see if the zerk has a place to put a 1/4" or 5/16" wrench on it near the base, if it does then try to unscrew it.
Not sure if the threads on our trucks are American or metric, but when you get it ot take it to the auto parts store to match it up.
Good Luck

Thanks DD, these don't have a hex collar or shoulder at all. They look like they could be pressed in. I would have to put vise grips on to find out for sure but then the dealer might not believe me.....I guess I will have to leave it for another day and let them fix it - hopefully second times the charm.....thanks again Bill
