I've seen my warning light come on at times when everything seemed to be operating fine.
I ran into the salesman that sold my my truck a few days ago. He tells me that if the fuel cap is not on tight, this will light up. It is some sort of EPA issue.

I forgot to put my fuel cap back on once at a Diesel Filling Station and the same thing happend to me. I guess they don't want the vapors going to the atmospherehttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Angry.gif Big Deal, you ever seen the smoke that comes out of them buses. Remember Real Trucks Don't Have Spark Plugs, Drive ON!

there are no evap emissions codes on the d/max so the cap is not the issue. but with duel tanks while fuelling if the truck is on it has been known to set the ses light..

I thought only the gasers would set an SES code if the gas cap is loose or off when the engine is running??
Whenever towing, I always leave my truck running when we get fuel and I have never set an SES light. I wouldn't think the 03's would be any different in that respect, would they?? http://dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif
