I'm Jim's father and I got to drive this animal yesterday, all I can say is,,,WoW!. If I was blind folded & put in this truck, I would of thought I was in a highend SUV. The exceptional ride surprised me & the rock solid feel is unsurpassed. Yes, what an animal of a truck..
Congrat "Son" your father loves your truck.

Is that the Taupe Gray Metallic color? Please tell me it is, as that is what I just ordered and it looks great on that truck!

Nice! Just a quick question about your 5ver. Ever had issues with bubbling wallpaper where it meets the slide outs? If not great, but I know many Sierra Owners that have had issues. Problem was it happened after the 1 yr warranty, so it's on your own dime to fix. Just wanted to give you a heads up if it happens. I fixed mine myself, not hard, but shouldn't have to do it on a 14 month old 5ver. Chris

Nice pics, thanks for sharing....

The bigger brakes, EB and GVWR of 13k really made this 2011 a home run truck for GM....not to mention the stronger engine and trans....how does she handle the trailer??

Nice truck! I have a friend that has the same truck, his is a LTZ in that same color even. He was one of the first guys to ever have one, even took it to B+W so they could phototype the hitch on it.

Again sweet truck!!!

I know it's been a long 2 days since I moved your first picture thread, but adding a 5er to the pics doesn't make it engine related. I know, it can get real confusing sometimes.

Threads merged.

My LMM had no problem. I wanted the safety of a dually, just incase I had a blow out. Plus if I was involved in an accident and the police determined I was over weight, I could be held accountable for the accident. I would have bought an LMM dually, but after all the mods I put into it, I felt it would have been like starting over again. At least with the LML, the built the frame, tranny, engine, suspension, and it comes with an exhaust brake. I didn't feel like I was loosing all the mods I made on my LMM. Plus they gave me 34300 trade in, with 39700 miles on it. so, they gave me 7300 for my mods on trade in. Though I do miss burning the rear tires off my truck at will. I just changed direction and decided I needed a towing power house that I can rely on and still has a warranty.

Good looking rig. I have the same color as yours. It rides like a dream; much better than the 06 2500HD I previously had. Pulling my 5'er this weekend, so excited to see how this beast performs.

Al great reasons. Yes, in my opinion the 2011 GM dually as is much a tow rig as 99.99% of people need and you're very wise to realize that there's no such thing as overkill when buying your truck...can't put a price on safety and this is as safe as it gets.

Any plans to add bumpers or a headache rack?

Pretty truck. I'm amazed at the how much smoother the lines seem now than with the first year of this body style. Better get some Duraflaps on that bad boy!

I guess you gotta pick and choose where you camp, Clarkely.

Seriously thinking about a '12 dually crew cab. But we like to go to some of the smaller places to camp. Couple of times we have struggled with a crew cab short box and a 29' fifth wheel......

Maybe we are lucky....... but i always seem to find a spot that we can get into....... google earth helps with that....... scope out the campground, trees and roads before choosing a site...
