OK im new to all this diesel stuff..i have built gas motors before and they were true runners but its time to switch.
Im looking for a 01 newer Dmax and i dont know everything about diesels but i know alot.....
But the one thing i dont know is how do u guys get that awsome spool up sound of the turbo? Do you guys put the 4" exhaust on with no mufflers and cats or do u guys leave the cats on?


my plans are: banks power exhaust, intake, computer. what else would u guys recomend?

easiest way is full exhaust,losing the kitty, and also a cold air intake will do it.

the stuff you mention is pretty much all you need for low EGT's, lots of power, and noticable turbo whistle!!
