Anyone know of a Rev limiter remover available out there??? I don't need a power progam or power download, just a way to raise or remove the stock GM rev limiter.

I don't know of any for the DMax, you might have to buy a quad or similar and just use the rev limiter remover and not install a tune.

I'm not positive, but I think you can raise the rev limiter with a preditor.

Do you want to raise the rev limiter or the speed limiter?

Would like to raise or remove both if possible. The problem I have is that the program I use is not an OBD 2 port download. I use a TST box that goes in the harness. I hate to spend $400+ dollars on another downloader just to get rid of the rev and speed limiter. I want to get to 4000 RPM.

The only way to do it is with another tuner. No one makes a box to remove the speed limiter only. The co-pilot from ats will also remove the speed limter.

Do those programers work on 01's? I've heard you can't remove the limiters or recalibrate for different size tires if it's an 01'.Is that true??

I know the ECM is diferent on the 01s so that may be true......

From what I have read that is true. The eception is the TTS programming which will remove the limiter on an 01 for sure.

I use the TST also, but I decided to get a bullydog power pup to adjust for my tire size. (I ran the programmer for a while and tried to stack the two.) I haven't removed the speed limiter yet to see what it would do. You might be able to get one pretty cheap now. I payed about 300 for mine delivered.
