I've been looking around to, kind of wanting to try something different.

Discount tire had MTR for 225/ea and $75 rebate on 4.
2 Goodyear dealers have them for $243 & $248.
Sears has BFG AT for $267 (really high).
Tire shop has them for $250.
A small tire shop in the country has them for $193 and includes road hazzard
Also has MT for $220
Tyres 1 has them for $198 and MT for $226

I want to keep the 3ply sidewall for towing so only 3 tires have them, listed above.

My 285's are around 3/16 tread and I've got a kayak trip in northern LP of MI and a trip to the New River gorge coming up in 2 weeks so I may grab 2 new tires and take 2 used ones for spares.

Just bought 4 BFG AT's 285x70r17 for $850 installed (tires, taxes, installation) from American Tire Depot last week

Edit to add tire size so it makes sense...

Is it necessary to install the torsion bar keys to upgrade to this tire size? Anyone have any clearance issues?

We've been through this a LOT.

Trim the bottom corner of the airdam and tie the front and back inner fender on the driver's side.

Put em and go.
