Last February I installed new Michelin LTX A T2's. Not overly aggressive tread. Before that I had Michelin LTX M/S for 5 years. For the past few months I don't get the same mileage as I have in the past, I'm getting 1 mpg less on average. Filters have all been changed and truck runs fine, so I'm thinking the drop in mpg can be the tires?
I'm running the same tires. I didn't notice any change in mileage. I may go back to the M/S next time or even the H/T. My mileage dropped when I went from 245/75-16 to the 265/75-16 tires. Not sure if it was the effective gearing change or the effect on the speedo that made the difference.

I am not surprised in the drop in milage, this goes in what they say about the slightly more aggressive tires styles. I have been running their M/S tires for 15 years or so.

Thanks, thats what I was thinking, I stayed with the same size tire, so it makes sense that they can't roll down the road without having more resistance with the more aggressive tread.
