Well at 185 miles my new truck started sounding funning. At 2200-2800 the engine makes a loud ( growning kinda ) funny noise. Now its not near as powerfull, its getting about 8mpg and can feel a small vibration in pedal. Its at the dealer now.

Talked to the dealer today and he said the tech found something broke in the air intake and that fixed the power loss and fuel milage. But still sounds bad.

I'm thinking they need to look into it a little further... What could actually break inside the air intake? And if something did break inside the intake... my guess is its inside the engine making the noise.

Well the weird noise ended up being a coolant line near the frewall/egr cooler that had to be re-routed and that fixed the noise. I did not find out what they did to the air intake or the boost tubes in know he had them all out. I just drove it home 40mi and it averaged 18.4 so hopfully its fixed. I just wonder if they reprogammed it or something.

It is a 2011 3500 Dooley

I'm guessing something to do with the MAF sensor. Good to hear you got it fixed.
