which tires to use as for trailer use ?
2x 7000 axles
here in montreal, canada
got plenty of snow in winter
i was wondering the michelin xps rib

235 E range make good trailer tires, I used them on my smaller commercial trailers, they are narrow enough to clearance fenders and frame. I would run a 265 or 285 for more capacity but they are too wide for most trailers.

Forget the XPS Rib for 7K axle use it is only good for 3042 -you need at least 3500
Very few options available for 7K axles using 16" tires.
1. Goodyear G614 LT235/85R16 LRG. Needs a rim capable of 125PSI!
Some love this tire -Some hate the tire. Goodyear is pretty good about fixing body damage when the alligator jumps ship though -if you file the claim properly by submitting the tire for inspection by the factory.
2. Use an ST class tire LR E /LR F/ LR G-China junk.....Not advised IMO make sure the wheel will handle the LR pressure requirements.....if considered
3. Upgrade to use LT215/75R17.5 tires and wheels using LR H
