I recently purchased a ppe transmission pan along with a transgo jr. from Madjack racing. I would like to do the install this weekend. I was just wondering if anyone who has dealt with this has any advice or tips to make the install go easier. Any help would be much appreciated!

thanks, John

I just did the pan. One thing to keep in mind is that it weights 20 lbs! If you don't have help, you may need to use a hydrolic jack to hold it up while you start the bolts. I tried holding it on my back with one hand while starting the bolts and it didn't go well. The jack did the trick. Also, buy 4 gallons of trans fluid, mine took 13.5 quarts.

thanks for the heads up will definitely be using the Jack. I also have four gallons of Amsoil Torque drive. So I will be using that. One of my main concerns is if I need to Install the trans jr or wait awhile. I don't plan on doing any H.P. mods anytime soon and was thinking maybe I should wait til later. I'm up in the air on this

If you do it later, you will need to by another 14 quarts of trans fluid. You could save yourself some $ doing it in one shot.

Definitely do it at the same time...why wait.?? Theres a pretty good diy in the DIY forum on doing the transgo jr. Take your time, allow the pan to drain real good...suggest you start early on a sat morning...dont lose the springs and ball bearings..!!! dont ask me why I happen to say that..!! :D

good luck n have fun...oh yea, 2 rolls of paper towels and some floor dry wont hurt to have around..??

I started the night before and drained it and removed the pan that night. Next day I didn't have to get baptist with the red stuff! :D
