I just purchased a 2005 2500HD LT crew cab 4X4 Duramax. With 140 mi on it my starter went south. Anybody had this problem?:mad:

GTA23109a 07-22-2005, 05:30 AM Are you sure it's the starter?? I had a flexplate go away on me with less than 3000 miles on the clock. Starter wouldn't engage it and left me stranded at a truckstop outside Lake Havasu, AZ. Local dealer replaced the starter without checking the flexplate and the problem re-occured shortly thereafter (the next time I shut it off and it stopped at the bad spot on the flexplate). Just something to think about . . . . vista507 07-22-2005, 07:21 PM Yesterday I posted that my starter went south. One of our members replied to my post and told me to check the flex plate. He had a starter problem and it turned out to be a deffective flex plate. I called my dealer and ask them to check it and it was bad.
