I have a 1991 Ford E350 Diesel 7.3 which has issues with stalling and starting. I'm trying to check all my fuel pumps to be sure they are working. I see the pumps by the tanks and the injector pump, but I'm told there should be another 'lift pump'.

Is this true?

I can't find it, and I tried tracing the fuel lines and looking at everything on a belt. Where I can find this pump?

A lift pump is your electric pump. it "lifts" fuel to the IP.

I thought a 91 7.3L still has a mechanical pump mounted on the passenger side front of the engine.

Not positive, but here goes, Have you looked in the "valley"? I know on my 97 PS it was in the valley under the turbo pipeing. May be elsewhere on yours, but a place to look anyways. It's deep down there too.
