Back to Black, or Back in Black. They seem to be great products and make all your black trim look brand new again. I didn't realize how dull it had gotten until I tried it. Like night and day.

Take a 1 inch paint brush, cut the bristles off short, tape the metal part and use the brush to clean most off. Finish up with some Aero 303 or Armour-all.

And to advoid doing it again, I use masking tape to mask the plastic.

The peanut butter trick is rumored to work wonders! I've never tried it, but a lot of guys swear by it.

I've had good luck wiping a small dab of ATF on the wax stain and then going over it with a good protectant like Armor All or a type of tire shine.

Back to black masks the stains but it washes off and the stain is still there, peanut butter?? Really? wow...gotta try that.

A nice brush and some water with dish soap in it. You will then have to rewax the truck around the flares, because the dish soap will remove the wax from around the area.
I always mask the flare off, what a pain. I've been looking at a set of bushwacker flares, and have them painted so everything can be waxed.

I tried the peanut butter thing tonight on my black fender flares. First thing that happened was my dog came over and started to lick the peanut butter off ):h but after I chased him away I waited a few moments and then washed it off and... WOW all the white stains were gone...one question though... who thought of this and how much were they drinking...):h ):h

I have used back to black in the past and it works ok, but I have found that "Black Chrome" works better. I use it on all my black plastic and rubber. I think you can get it at Autozone.

gearhead - I would imagine the oils in the pb would take the wax off...I'm not sure about that though....

As far as back to black, black again, and all of the other "turn the trim the right color again" products. Every one I've tried worked for a while (the black dye helped) but as soon as the truck, car, motorcycle, whatever was washed a few times, the white showed up again.
Some of you apparently have had better luck than I have had...

There was a thread a couple of months ago discussing this product:

http://armor-dillo.com/

It was originally mentioned in one of the GM tech news bulletins. Many Chevy dealers sell it for around 20 bucks.

Zaino won't leave any stains on the black parts. Just one of the benifits of using it....plus it lasts for months.
