My truck has dont this since I got it about a year ago, but I just ignored it, now I want to figure out what is going on. When I am at a stop, when I hit the gas, usually 50-100%, there is about a 1 second hesitation or "dead spot" the truck revs up a bit then hangs there, and then finally takes off like it should, It is not turbo lag, I just stays at the rpm for about a second, then takes off good. Also, I got injectors and a box, and when I punch the gas, there is no smoke, but after the hesitation, it smokes good, I wish I could figure out what it is, I soubt it is turbo lag, cause It would slowly go faster, but It just "hangs" something wrong with my pump? no other truck Ive drove does this Please help.

Sounds like you may be starving for fuel with the mods you have. 300hp sticks with a comp? how are you feed that beast? FASS, RASP, AIRDOG?

I dont think its starving, it did this before I even had any mods, just bone stock, I read somewhere on a somewhat similar problem about needing a new TPS? could that be an issue? Its driving me nuts.

TPS or APPS, I would start there. There is a way to clean it, if not I have seen when internally the injection timing sensor do this when its out, which means new pump.

Ok, I work in a chrysler service department, so I can get the parts at cost. What is the APPS? If the injection timing sensor goes out, Then I need a new vp-44? I can get a vp-44 for about $900. Dont know what APPS stands for, but I should start with a TPS huh?

Also, this sounds wierd, but about a month ago I took all the battery cables off and hooked each side together to reset all the modules, and then the problem seemd to be gone but slowly cxame back, unless Im stoned
