how do you take off the factory fender flares, I just bought red ones to match my truck and want to get rid of the black ones.

Pull out the retainers on the sides..(pull the insert up and out of the center.they make a tool for this, but a small screwdriver does work in a pinch)
after you have all of the retainers out, pull the lower part away from the body..the top part is held on by double-sided tape...usually if you start on one side or the other, you can pull them right off...
if you're not comfortable pulling on them hard, the fishingline trick works as well..

Where did you get the red ones and how much $ did they cost?

got them off of ebay for $190.00. somebody a little earlier in this section clued everybody in on the red flares being available on ebay.

you may want to get new plastic rivets from the dealer or a paint shop . new ones hold so much better .

I see you bought a pair of those Corvette-looking Duramax emblems off Ebay also. What is your option of it?

i like the new emblems, I stripped all emblems and body moldings off of the truck except for them, the duramax emblem and a small sticker from the local diesel performance shop on the bottom corner of my tailgate.
