The tailgate with the raised CHEVEROLET across the middle?

I was out to eat yesterday with my family and there was a grey 1500 99 front end with the Raised letters across the middle instead of the badges....really liked it maybe just because it is so rare (maybe just never seen one before)....

Are they rare?

Means it is the composite bed construction.

PRO-TEC was the name of the composite bed.

Yeah it was stupid that it was supposed to be better and stronger yet it wasn't available on anything but half tons.

That was the composite 'gate. the best thing about those is how light they are!
