If you pay attention to the wrong people on here you won't be happy long.

Enjoy it -- you now have a great truck.

I just bought mine recently too and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. They sell em cheap up there in Michigan don't they.

It was a joke, he said he owned 5 vehicals previous to this one and he traded the powerJoke in, and he LOVES the d-max (Duramax has more power then the 99 powerChoke)...just a joke! B-R-E-A-T-H...Wussssaa

I had a Superchips Tuner on my '99 P.S., it had a shift kit and straight pipe. I have no complaints with that truck I loved it. But this truck has got just as much or more get up and go as the Powerchoke did on the 110 hp setting w/ the tuner and I haven't even gotten started with this one yet. http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_3_16.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZSzeb008)I LOVE IT!!

.....I've had mine now for just over 2 years and couldn't be more pleased. With BD-Powers "INTIMIDATOR" selected to the level-1 setting (55HP + 110 lbs-ft-tq) it hauls my camper (10.5' Okanagan @ 3200lbs) like a dream with very good mileage 16-17 MPIG (miles per imperial gallon). The quietness, even under load, is astounding and linked with that Allison 5 speed with tow/haul it can't be beat. Also another fine attribute is ease of which it is to carry out servicing the different gear boxes due to the drain plug installation and filter locations. 2 thumbs up to GM for really thinking this baby through and making it so user friendly. It is, bar none, the best truck I've owned so far and I plan to keep 'er a while longer.......................SWH...

I love driving this thing. The only problem is when I'm driving all I can think about is mods...... and the fact that my fuel mileage sucks (already started another post about that so I won't go off here) No obvious causes. I'm gonna take it in to see if something can be done about it. This is a sweet and incredibly helpful website!!!!http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_1_36.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZSzeb008)

You think you are happy now? Juice that sucker and have a ball! Get an EGT guage, secondary fuel filter (Hey Frank Blum - are you hearing this?) and open that muffler up to at least a 4" flow through type, then let the good times roll!!

Welcome aboard!

Had mine now for over 2 years now and so far it's been great. When you add that tuner you'll notice that it really wakes that LB7 up. Nothin' like it.......:D .......SWH...

That's exactly what I did. His truck was a 2001 F350 7.3L with the 100hp Superchips programmer and 4" straightpipe. Mine was stock at the time. I beat him by 3 truck lengths in the 1/4 mile.
