04' ext. cab. 80K miles. Just got it and every once in a whiiiiilllllleeee, not very often mind you, just once in a great while I get a whiff of sweet antifreeze in the cab. Been running the A/C regularly as it's been warm if that matters. Is there something I should be looking for as a "known" issue ? I am getting NO heating issues at all !!! Needle width or two under 210 on the gauge. Right where its been since the day I first drove it. Anywaysssssss NO signs on the floor/ground. No nothing anywhere, just a hint of the smell. I wouldn't worry too much I think your ok.

When you get the whiff of antifreeze, open the hood and check the EGR cooler pipe where it exits the thermostat housing. Mine drips every once and a while there. Took forever to find it, and never shows signs of loosing coolant. Of particular interest is the screw fitting where it connects to the metal pipe. The gasket they use on the straight threads sucks and appears to give up over time. One day I might put an Aluminum gasket on it to see if it will stop the occasional drip.
