: Triple stack?

A few weeks ago at a sled pull there was an 05 Dmax there that supposedly had 3 stacked chips and propane. Of course he didn't let down his torsion bars and guess what happened..... yep, broke all four tierods, both CV axles, and speed sensors. He had it at the dealer the following week seeking warranty work. :duh: :idiot: :laugh_exp :lol2: :smashfrea They asked him what happened, he didn't know for sure. They told him :flipa: :cookoo:

Anyways, the mechanic there told me he had three chips stacked with the pane???? Any ideas on what three are compatible to stack X3? Not saying I want to try it, but I'm confused on what he was doing.

I don't see how he was doing it unless he had a custom PCM, a harness-type box, and a tuner/downloader on top of all this. To me, this wouldn't really be a "triple stack" though.

What happened to his tranny?

Nothing happened to the tranny. Have you ever pulled the sled? Sled pulling is not that hard on the trannies (believe it or not.) It's not near as damaging as a drag racing.

Is there an echo in here? :)

Flash Tuner ( Quad/BullyDog,Predator )...........Plug in Box ( VA,EDGE,BullyDog )..........Rail Pressure incresing type plug in box ( Duramaximizer )..........

That would be my guess...............

Oopps. Sorry about the triple post. This thread's about a triple stack, not triple posting. My bad, the computer was acting up so I kept hitting the button - obviously.

I guess I wasn't aware the Duramaximizer was available for the LLY's yet. If they are what are the reviews on it? Good or Bad?

Dont believe it is avalible for the LLY...Duramaximizer is old technology and I dont think the most efficent way of adding power. I personally would never want to add a rail-pressure increasing device to my truck for fear of potential damage. I mean, the fuel rail is already at...what...24000 PSI?? I woudlnt want to make something increase that already crazy pressure and have something break...

The other day when I looked at this thread my second post was repeated 3 times, hence the comment on the 'echo in here'.

I'm green. How do you do that feature?

On edit: I figured it out. Thanks Tim.

I've ran a triple stack on my LLY. In order:

TST PowerMax Competetion LLY connected to the engine, edge connected behind it then the ECM connects to the Edge.

I then loaded the predator 120hp tune.

Now, it smoked like mad down low. Pretty cool for smoking people out, and really helped light the VGT up. Now for anything above 1500 rpm's bursting was really bad. Plus my stock trans didn't like it much since SEM is trying to cut fuel but can't.

I doubt the CP3 can keep up (pressure wise) with this kind of injector duty cycle.

On another note though.. The LLY PowerMax that I have is a beta version, and it's pretty hot. It should be out soon, and stacks suprisingly well. Which is very odd for two harness boxes to get along.
