Ok guys I have my front differential out of my truck and I decided to paint the rusted parts on it and the half shafts. The problem is after I painted the front differential I left it standing on one side and when I saw it later it had leaked oil. Did I do any damage? Do i need to refill it? What should I use to fill it? Thanks in advance...

No damage done. When you get it back in, just go ahead and top it off with oil. Unless you've never changed the oil or it's been a long time, then it would be a good time to drain and refil. I just use Amsoil 75W90 Severe Gear. I think factory calls for 80W90, but most people use the 75W90 because it's easier to find and hardly different at all.

Thanks a lot! Yea I figured it out it was leaking from the vent where the rubber thin hose goes. Truck has 50,000 miles so I'll prob change out the oil.
