What dou you guys think about this stuff? Is it good enough for the Allison 1000?

Anyone?? Everyone talks about Transyn and Amsoil Torque Drive but why not Royal Purple? Does it not meet and exceed the specifications that GM calls for? Just looking for a little input from veteran diesel owners.

There are a couple of new fluids available specificaly engineered for heavy duty diesels like the Allison. I think the major oil companys are kicking it up a notch ( this is good). I would want to use these new fluids as the other synthetic fluids were not made for our usage so to speak. Citgo is sending me their new QuatraSyn fluid and I saw in another thread here that Mobil has a new fluid. I don't think there is anything wrong with Royal Purple or any other synthetic fluid out there. I think the new fluids might be better.

Thanks mike. Just about to hit the 25000 mark and trying weigh out options. Let me know what you think about the QuatraSyn.
