Hey guys I have a 2008 lmm and just went out to go fishing and it won't start wont even crank. I took the battery cables off for at least ten minutes but that didn't work either any ideas?lights are bright so I'm pretty sure battwrys are fine.truck only has 42000 miles.

did you get the updated programming from the dealer?? Mine did this too before the update

No Im 500 miles from home right now in the mountains the trouble codes on my edge race say immobilizer key not programmed.also has a p062 code anyone know what this means

Mine just done the same thing this morning, at 640xx miles.
So it must go to the dealer and get the ECM flashed?
I'm running the PPE on level 1, will moving it back to the stock setting fix this issue or is it a no matter what dealer issue?

Just talked to dealer have to get a new key cut and programmed so not as bad as I thought.big headache tho.

Yeah, I just talked to the dealer here, can't look at it until Monday afternoon, exactly as I figured with this BS dealership though. Unfortunately it's the only one in 90 miles and I'm not towing it that far.

Bad news...take it to a dealer and have them flash the ecm. There is a bulletin on it. If its the same issue i had.

do you know where to find this bulletin? I searched the tsb's in the sticky but didnt see anything? Does it cost to have this done or is it like a recall? Thanks!

had to get mine towed to the dealer and they reflashed the ecm. I guess there was a recall for this some time back and I never got it done.The dealer said it just shuts down finally if you dont get it done.It doesnt cost anything just a major headache if you get stranded like I did.

The recall number is 08142. The dealer can check your VIN to see if it was done.

Thanks Gilcon. I haven't been to the dealer since I took delivery so I hope this will fix the problem. Ill make the call monday morning and let you guys know the results.
