As usual you guys have come through for me with a series of pictures of an EGT install. Now is the same available for an install of a boost gage.

Help appreciated.....John

If you've installed the pyro gauge already, boost should be a piece of cake. Remove the upper intake, drill hole in side (that was my choice anyway) and tap for fitting. Replace upper intake, install boost gauge tube and run through fire wall into cab. Leave enough slack in the tubing to tape it to your wire clusters. There's not much more to it than that.;)

or you could get a signal off the intake air temp sensor's port... if you get a 3/8"npt tee fitting with one male, and 2 female fittings, you can just get the signal off there... it does move the IAT sensor up out of the air stream, but it is close enough to still measure the temp well enough to work without issues.

Thanks for the input but what constitutes the "upper intake" or the "intake air temp sensor's port". Pictures are worth 1K words. Are there any out there.

On my site under Tech Tips/6.5/air box mods in the foreground you can see the brass fitting on my truck.

Excellent. Thanks for the guidance. Now I can breathe easier (or at least when I perform all your mods).

Kennedy's tap looks like a 1/4 NPT to 1/4" compression tube. Where do you go through the fire wall with the tube? What tool is used to hog out the inlet of the upper intake? I ordered fittings and 0-15psi gauge from McMaster Carr website for less than $15. I did not want to spend $ for fancy gauge at Autozone.
