Alright guys a kid I whipped a few weeks ago is driving a 2001 gmc 2500hd extended cab with a 6.0 that's has a cold air intake diablo programmer and now is runnin what I'm guessing either 100 or 150 shot of nitrous he has the same tires as me and I have all the mods you see in my signature I have a reg cab with the 8.1 the hot tune from westers all tm removed all the good stuff last time he jumped the gun and I still whipped him.. Now he has the nitrous what do you think will be the outcome of this? Cause if I get beat I'm just stuffin a big cam in it and headers and possibly nitrous.. So what's your guys take on this? Plus he has 200,000 at least on his engine

1/4 mile? With a 100 shot he wins no doubt. Why wait for him to beat you....throw some juice on yours before you run.

Because this is happen in about 5 hours lol you think ill get beat that bad? I had him by about 5 lengths at least within a 1/8th mile

The other day I took the Diablo/Predator off of my truck & put it on my wife's 2003 K2500 Yukon XL. It really felt like it added more power to her truck than it did mine. Different transmissions & she has 3.73's. But same diameter tire. But, it could not tow my trailer w/o hitting some serious low speeds and first gear (one hill) that my truck did much easier.

Those tires are killing him and not really hurting you... The 6.0l with a 100 shot should beat an 8.1 with no problem, a 150 shot would make it allot worse for you. Are you guys doing 4wd launches? 4wd launches will give you the advantage and 2wd launches will even it up better.
It would be interesting to see who is quicker if you both start modding, like doing a cam swap, nos, headers, a converter. There are allot more performance parts for the 6.0l and there cheaper as well....

The real question is if you are going to get into a spending game to try to beat this guy? I love performance but not for the wrong reasons. Yes, he should beat you easily if he is spraying. Yes, he might blow up that 6.0 with the the mixture of high miles and nitrous. If you were already planning the mods then put the race off until after they are done...then light his ass up.

He hit his nitrous off the launch and of course pulled ahead only ahead far enough to where my front bumper was even with his rear and it stayed that way dead even all the way until he hit 3rd and let out of the nitrous and I came creeping back up and we had to let out of it due to vehicles coming lol but I think that's a pretty stout run for the 8.1 if I had a better launch I woulda beat him so there ya have it

Thats pretty good for the 8.1 to hold its own against a 6.0l with nitrous! I would have thought for sure the 6.0 would leave the 8.1 and keep pulling away. If hes tuned and running a 100 shot, that should put him at 420+hp easy along with the more efficient 4l80e he should have won.

I thought the same thing lol but my 8.1 has turned into a monster after that tune it just seems not normal I even beat some sports cars with it but now its time for a big cam from raylar and roller rockers and some nice stainlessworks headers then we'll see the out come :)
