Hey guys, I'm keeping quite these days, but I have a question... Would a set of BF Goodrich A/T Commercial Traction 235/85/16 tires be good for traveling long distances every day (over 800 miles a week)?

I'm looking for a tall tire, but not very wide... I mostly want to reduce RPMs at cruising speed and keep road noise to a minimum.

Any comments or other suggestions would be helpful... I'd even like a tire with the size xxx/95/16.

Thanks,
Dan

Though I have 245/75/R16E, I like the tires alot. they are rated for longer lasting wear compaired to the all terrians. designed in mind for potholes and roads, but has the tread for off road conditions.

Im sure you can find better highway tires, and better off road tires, but the commerical traction seems to have the best of both, great pricing and duarabilty as well. high rating for snow and molded for stud use. think I got mine for $107 per tire at local sams club.

they dont come in your size of xxx/95/16 though. 265/75/16 comes out sometime end of summer.

From reading some tire sites it sounds like I won't be able to go much bigger than an 85 profile without getting a taller rim.

Thanks,
Dan

I have the BFG Commercial 85/16 on a 33' Toy Hauler. One year so far and very satisfied.
