hi guys, i'm in need of a set of tires for my lb7 pyo's. i'm thinking about getting some 285/75/16 but in a budget, i'm looking along the lines of MT tires if not AT's would do. the best find i can come up with is some 265's on the toyo's AT @ 150 ish each. my budget is 800-1000, i also can get a set of take offs from a 03 or 04 h2 for cheap but i do not want to level the truck since i would eventually get a real lift in the future.
thanks.

I run OEM tires. May tire dealers get newly purchased trucks in and chnge out the OEM's for larger tires. Generally these tires have anywhere from a few to maybe a thousand miles on them and sell for 60to 70 bucks mounted and balanced. Can't see buying new when these nearly new tires sell for less than half price.
If your budget is 800-1000, you can buy just about anything.
I got 265 Michelins MS2's for like 870 at Discount tire after 70 dollar Micheliin rebate.
I'm sure you could get under 700 easily at Discount Tire.

Try a set of 10 ply Nitto Terra Grapplers. I have a set of 285's on my PYO's and they have right at 60k on them. If you get these make sure you get the 10 ply tire, the 8 plys will only go about half that mileage. I have several friends who had 8 plys and they can't beleive i have that many miles on them and the only difference is the ply rating. These tires are easily within your budget.

Look into some general grabber at2's. I have been looking into these and they seem to have good wear and have a good tread pattern, they are also very reasonably priced.
