: Reasons for low boost?

Just got my boost gauge installed, and always thought the truck was sort of a dog.

I've read that normal boost is between 22-25 PSI.

Mine, for whatever reason, is only making 15 PSI, then when it shifts, it drops down to 10 PSI until the RPM's come back up.

It's got all fresh filters (1k miles on fuel filter), new oil, new trans fluid/filters, new anti-freeze.

Still has the cat, but it doesn't have that sulfuric smell like when a cat goes bad, nor does the cat rattle like the junk is broke loose in it.

When you hammer it, no smoke at all.

Thoughts?

Can the computer put it in limp mode after the EGR plate is installed?

When I first got new tires on it, I could bring it up to about 1200 against the brake, hear the turbo spool, and it'd roast the tires through 1st and 2nd (I'd let out as it shifted into 3rd).

Then I put the plate in... Not tried tire frying since. Wondering if the EGR plate is creating an issue.

Guess that answers my question.
