I'm thinking of getting some Nitto Terra Grapplers 265/75/R16E for my '06 Dmax. I will be using them all year round- highway, around town, towing, and snow plowing in the wintertime.

Anyone have them? How are they in the snow/ice/heavy rain (wet roads)? Treadwear?

Thanks!

Matt

I have them. Mine are 285/75/16s on 16x8s and are D rated though. I only have about 2000 miles on them so I can't say much about them yet. I do like them so far though.

I recommend the E rated tires though like you are planning to get. I have to run these at 60 psi to keep the sidewalls from flexing too much. Running them at 50psi I could feel them flexing when I would change lanes to pass.

You will love them in the snow and ice, best snow and ice tire i have ever owned. I have a set of 285 10 plys on my stock wheels for winter use and have almost 60k on them.

They are a good tire, but of the several sets we have had on farm trucks, I didnt think they lasted very long when driven on gravel roads alot. Gravel will wear down a tire quickly anyway, but I thought they would wear down faster than others I've used.

I like the performance of the tire. But I doubt I will get 20k miles out of my 265/75 E rated tires.

I have 285/65/18 E rated and I love them. I have 31,000k on them right now with maybe 5k to 10k miles left before replacement.

I have 315/75/16's They are D rated though. I pulled a trailer and grossed at 28K and had no problem with it. Pulled good and strong and didn't squat too bad. I have prolly 10,000 miles on mine so far with very little wear. They work well off-road as long as your not in knee deep mud and I havent had a chance to try them in the snow yet. I have a buddy with an 05 D-max and he plows all winter long he swears by them.

I put keys and a set of 305/50-20's on my wifes '04 Tahoe, it is an all wheel drive and they seem to be wearing evenly and slow. It had some Cooper street tires on the wheels and living on gravel was destroying them. For the price they are great.

I'm suprised this many people like them I have a set on 18"s and absolutely hate them..everyone i know personally have said the same. squirrely in the rain, and i can't drive on wet grass or they'll just spin. jmo

Another supporter here. As far as a AT tire goes, it is great. Will buy again.
