why dont we have a manual dpf passive regen on our truck like on the med duty trucks ??
that we Im sure it can prevent some dpf to crack
I hear so many frequant people telling that its cracked and sooting...

The reason behind the no light on the HD's is that the average driver would get confused or irritated with a light. If you want a light you can get an EDGE insight CTS for your dpf status.

You mean a switch to activate an "Active Regen" or Parked Regen as its referred to.
Because of liability and an overall lack of knowledge that most buyers of these trucks have. (Not anyone from this forum, you know what I'm saying)
DPF's cracking is now starting to surface as a big issue. It's not just GM or light duty trucks, it's industry wide.

I know I now start top see that on big rigs and on city buses 2008 and up
dpf are so fragile and unreliable
they need to invent something better
