Hi
I need some expert advice.I just installed a Larger Boost Tube and the instructions say to keep everything clean and dry from oil. Question is, Is it normal to have a thin film of black oil in the old tube, or is it a sign of problems to come. I just changed it out today at 32,350 miles,I hope it not a seal going bad. Thank You ahead of time for your responses,Richard.

Do a search on PCV re rout... The PVC system on this trucks is a closed system , the PVC gases are suck in the turbo putting a pastey goo in and outside the boost tube......just imagine what inside innercooler looks like on the inside

X2 send the oil to the frame rail not the turbo

2004 LLY, is when they went to a closed PCV system, not 2001.

I did a PCV reroute in June on my truck, here is how I built mine: http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=376059

After about one month and a couple trips on the odometer, I drained it and had about 3/16"-1/4" of oil in the bottom of a small plastic cup. It works great and now I don't have all that oil accumulating in my intercooler.
