Is it worth it to upgrade the mechanically driven fan to an electronic one? I was told on my old 4.8 it would be worth it, but i dont know if it is the same concept. I'd figure yes but you guys know more than me.

how much towing and what weight for trailers. if you seldom tow, electric fans might work-out. you can buy kit or put together your own.

My wife's 05 Suburban has factory electric fans, will they work on a Dmax? Could probably be had cheap from a salvage yard.

i towed 12k about 600 miles on friday with electric fans on my 03 that i put together! on your 4.8l it would help a ton. get rid of rotational resistance on anything driven by the crankshaft and it will help mpg and hp. if your gonna make your own kit i would suggest 2-14" jegs fans side by side and one of their thermostatic temp controller's.

are u guys using shrouds with your fans or just directly on the radiator?
