Looking to step up to 265 E's for towing capicity on rear axle. Any input on the best road tire for heavy hauling? Very little off road use, mainly highway. Thanks in advance for any info!

Many of us have put on 265 E's for towing and are very happy.
There are a number of brands, I have Pirelli's from Tire Rack. I'd recommend trying their website, also do a search on this forum.

From 13 years of hot shotting heavy loads with a goosneck trailer there are only 2 tires i would buy. Listed in order of preference. My Size for best mileage is 235-85-15 set at 75PSIG Rear cold and 70PSIG Front cold.
1. Toyo M-55
2. Michelin LTX M/S

I have not found a more stable/long lasting tire than these two examples. Geolander's suck rocks! 30K miles and they were totally shot! Plus they squirmed and tramlined like hell, Lost one tire from heat failure.
Never tried Bridgestone Revos yet. Maybe next year.

In the Winter I run Traction King in 235-85-16

Add BFGoodrich Commercial T/A's to Juice's list for the cost.

Hey, I was looking at those.

You like them? How do they compare to the Toyo's?

I'm liking them, feathered them out when doing a few burn-outs. Rotated side to side and did a few more burnouts and they are fine. Have 12,000 miles on them and only used 1/16th inch of tread. They are resisting cuts and gouges from the gravel pit and the dumps that I frequent. Tow really good and the road noise is not bad. Work excellent in the rain, haven't tried the snow. Haven't got a chance to try the Toyo's, but my dad runs them OTR and raves about them.

Ya the Dump and crush are hard on tires!
Sidewalls on the Geolander are too thin.... for the 35.00 extra per tire the M-55's were money better spent. I might try the BFG's... Something new anyway!

After researching this forum, and tirerack.com... 265 LTX M/S. Very pleased with my decision. Lots of informed people here... helping people to make informed choices. --Paul.
