Just today I received the very latest aftermarket fuel filters from Racor. They are now as long as the old LLY filters were but they will fit any year Duramax.

Take note at how much longer they are but now they have a recess in the lower portion so they can be used on the LB7.

Before the long LLY filter would not fit the LB7 because it would touch the valve cover.

Still the same price, at least for now.

DmaxalliTech sells spacers for the filter mount if you want a bit of extra room......

Will try to look tomorrow and see if it is longer. If its like the old LLY then I would have to say it is longer. With the recess in the can spacers will not be needed.

the new 06 fuel filter is now longer like the original lb7

The media is about 3/4" longer in the new filter.

Is the filter media in the "GM" filters the same "AquaBloc" media as those?

Should be because Racor makes them, but who knows.
