I just bought a 2003 with 280,00 km. The dip stick doesn't really show that it is making oil as the oil just runs down the cable to the marker which make me think this engine was pretty amazing not to use at least a bit of oil. It runs great, but I got 3 extra liters out at my first oil change. Thanks to this forum, I learned about the injector leak issue and the special warranty. I went in to the local Chevy dealer to find out that I was 20 days over the 7 year injector warranty. Too bad, so sad, said the service department. It would be great to get it fixed by GM, but not likely, so now I am wondering about replacement injectors. Are there different ones available. Any to stay away from? Forgive me for asking the same old questions. I have been using search, but that takes a lot of computer time that i just don't have this week. Rusty

Go to a different dealer and see if they're more sympathetic.

Bosch reman's from any reputable source. I read in a lot of different forums to stay away from Pensacola injectors.
