i think i might have found a fix, last week it would do this every day,i just tryed a small free fix and today after driving 700 miles and 2 tanks of fuel, fully loaded with a 12k trailer, now no service message or ck eng light,,i need 5 people to PM me to try this, ,but,

1.your truck must be stock,
2.must still have dpf hooked up,
3. no power adders
4.you need to keep track of your fuel milage and if the truck runs better
5.this only takes 5 mins, and your truck can be returned to stock easy
6.this can't void your warrenty
7.you can't tell anybody what your doing

i'm planing to give this out for free, but i need to see if it really works, like i think it does first

the 2nd thing i'm going to do is add power, but i need this first

Your sig 06 has a dpf? Cool. I've never had a dpf issue on mine
(believe vast majority of stock dmax trucks haven't)but subbed because I love a mystery.

First of all the secrecy is so 5th grade....grow up and share with the group so we can explain to you why your truck wasn't running right to begin with.

I've got a perfectly running stock 08' pulls 15,000 lb's up a 6% grade at 70 mph just fine with bigger than stock tires......your truck had problems to begin with.

well heres the fix [as far as ive found],this seems to be a ecu calibration problem,,all i did was take out the stock air filter,,then

1. standing the filter on its side, theres a plastic ring, take a hack saw and cut through the filter about 1'' inside of the ring [like your slicing Bologna],,replace the plastic ring on the now cut filter and reinstall the filter

i have done this to over 10 trucks and each one runs great and can idle for hours and douesen't throw codes or give the dredded ''clean exh filter ''

this seems to work on 07.5-08 trucks only as gm reflashed later trucks,,and i tryed a brand new stock filter and still got ''clean exh filter'' still,,but cutting a used filter fixed it,,try it its free
