I just got my alignment done on my truck and the steering wheel seems a bit off (turned towards the left when going straight down the highway). Can I adjust it myself or does it require an alignment machine? If so, how? Thanks guys.

if your truck does not pull to one side just mark your tie rod ends and rotate them 1/4 turn in the right direction both the exact distance , you must hold the tie rod end pinned to the upper mounting bolt to get consistent measurements otherwise the twisting motion will not be consistant. done this several times

What happens if you don't rotate them the exact same distance? Will it throw the alignment off or will it put something in a bind?

Make the person that did your allignment finish the job.

I agree with Rockin. If they didn't make sure the wheel was straight before they aligned it, then they were just lazy and didn't do their job properly. If you do it yourself and mess up the alignment then you'll have to pay to get it done again.

Dittos. Part of the alignment job is to get the wheel straight. They should have driven it afterward to make sure it was right. Make them fix it. Their aligner may be out of calibration.

Well, the dealership I had it done (it was done when they put on new tires) would require me to make a 100 mile trip, and they also did it under warranty but the miles are out now. Plus if I can do something myself then I'd rather do it.

You have over 100,000 miles on a 2004.5???

Thankfully, no, I only have 9,000 miles on it. You have a 7,500 warranty on an alignment under warranty, according to what I have been told.
