I'm looking for a set of gauges and don't really want to clutter up my a-pillar so I have a few questions about the digital "all in one" gauges. Do all these monitors just plug into the oem sending units through the OBD port? How accurate are those sending units? I would like one that can monitor coolant temp. accurately, as well as boost and exhaust gas temp. Am I asking too much?

i have had digital on my car and there too much to handle. when you look over at them you have to figure where your at based on the number... it takes too much time (too much math) vs a manual gauge where you lust look at the position of the needle for a range. IMO
But edge makes a nice on that goes in the a pillar or where ever you can mount it

I understand what you're saying I would agree for gauges like a tach. I'm mostly looking for EGT and coolant temp. Not much math there.

my friend just went throught this, he bought a digital gauges, the screen on it was about the same size as the edge, just not as colorful, but he ended up getting rid of them because thay were reading all wrong the boost was only showing 38 on the screen and the turbo wastgate was set at 52psi he went and got macanical gauges and now its reading 52 psi of boost like it should, the pryo read out was all over the place, it would get stuck at different numbers somethimes

Are other having issues with their digital gauges or is this a rare occurance?

You can get a programmer that does all of those things. Just thought I'd let you know :)

Ya thanks but I already have a programmer. I was looking for a set of gauges (EGT, ECT, and maybe boost??) and started looking at the OBD electronic gauge instead. I was just wondering what works or not. The scangauge can't monitor EGT on an LLY can it?

I installed a digital Pyro gauge in the dash. If you check my garage there's a picture. It's not very good, but it should give you some idea. Bought it on e-Bay. Just search for Auber Electronics. Gauge and probe ran about 90 bucks shipped. It has memory for the high temp. I have dual gauges on the pillar, but didn't want triples.

:DI have the Dashhawk and the Insight. About $300.00. Both made by Edge. I would not turn around for the difference. If all you want to do is monitor you cant go wrong with these. Both mainly plug and play. (picture in my garage) I have had them for about 3 years with the Dashhawk screen going bad 2 months after the warranty went out and Edge replaced it anyway. Cant beat that. There are a lot of these on the market. Good Luck :D
