Is this a common problem with these engines? If so, where is the typical spot, and can I see it while on engine? I know I have an exhaust leak from the pass. side manifold, just not sure if it's from the gasket, or the manifold itself. I checked on prices from gm, is there any other source for these? Thanx

Can't speak to whether this is a common problem on the 6.5 or not. Is it possible that your leak is at the turbo flange and not actual a cracked manifold? As for other sources, a certain major on-line auction site often has them - search 6.5 diesel or 6.5lL diesel. You might also try rockauto.com.

GM should sell each exhaust manifold for ~$100 each.
