I ran across an add at GMParts Direct for this duct, apparently something better that what originally came on our vehicles. Is this really an upgrade? Says fits 2008 which would be an LMM , but also says fits a 2006 which isn't an LMM.

Anyone have more info on this part?

It's the stock mouthpiece for the LBZ. It's only an upgrade for an LLY. I seen this and wondered why it was listed like that. Guess someone there is a member here and decided to capitalize on it.

It's the exact same part that is on your truck right now.

All 06+ trucks came stock with it, it's an upgrade for the 04.5-05 trucks.

Edit: ya beat me to it Chris. Its rather funny that it is listed as an upgrade for 06+. There could be a bunch of pissed off LBZ/LMM owners when they realize it the same part.

They both couldn't be more correct! Just 04.5 and 05 LLY upgrade. Exact same piece as you have now.
