got the oppertunity to upgrade to 2006 lbz from 2004 lb7, my truck 2004 sierra 93500 mi suncoast 4 with 6 spd conversion and lots of other bolt ons, new truck 2006 lbz 29000 mi, most of my bolt ons will transfer over. gonna cost me 100 extra per month, any comments or advise

I'd say definatly do it, i love my LBZ and at such low miles you would get those 70k miles back, which for me is like 4 years of driving.

LBZ's are the stock hot rod of Duramaxes. They got all the upgrades from the previous engine (larger EGR cooler, manual shifting, stronger engine internals, more HP/Torque), but didn't get the DPF. I make up errands to run just to drive mine. Plus it has a nice turbo whine, too!

Hey V, congrats on your new LBZ! How did that 6 spd conv work out on the LB7? I miss my 5 spd on my 03 LB7, stock 6 spd doesn't seem to get the power out of the engine in 4 & 5 gears as smoothly as my 5 spd did in the LB7. No question, you'll love this truck just too bad they have egr's in them although beats the DPF's! Good luck keeping any tread on the rears! :)
