Between the 84 and 85 INJ pumps....i know someone said there was some difference in the cold start advance or something but i can't remember who and can't find it.

I'm looking at purchasing an 84 inj pump for my 85 C20. Will it work?

any ip from 1982-1993 will fit on there and operate correctly.

Try to make sure it has the upgrade from the flex ring or you'll be back in the same boat.

the one i'm buying is freshly rebuilt and i assume it should have the upgrade ring....

If the rebuild was done properly, by an authorized Stanadyne repair facility, the pump should have a metal tag on one of the pump cover screws that says, "EID". This indicates it has the elastomer drive unit installed to replace and eliminate future failure of the outdated plastic flex ring.
