Hi Guys

I have a 02 demax. I have never noticed this till now, my truck sometimes takes 20 or 30 seconds for the alternater gets up to the14 volt norm.
Is this nomal as the computers come on line? I noticed this one morning as I got a slow turnover than It started? I do always charge my cell phone in the truck. Does it have a voltage regulator?

I asked the same question 3 years ago.

Answer is that there is an "air heater" or something that is drawing down the volts, and combined with the "glow plugs" takes that long for the relay to switch off, and volts go back to normal.

Mine has done it since day one. Perfectly normal.

Slow turnover may indicate batteries. Have you changed them yet???
