ok I have a diesel guy here in town that built an efi live tune for my '03 dmax, I had a superchips tuner on it previously (friend let me barrow). now when he puts the efi live tune in it I can drive about a .75 mile and my dash lights up like a christmas tree, throwing the ABS and Brakes dash lights and tells me that I need to "service brake system" in the odometer spot. I have all new hubs on both fronts so the Abs wheel sensors are good and I just replaced the calipers, rotors, and pads on the rear last week.
Has anyone heard of this, I know when he built the tune he said something about the superchips leaving "kernals" in my ecu and he had to build some codes to allow the EFI live to write over them.
Thanks for the help guys..
Mike

I have not heard of this. Did you have the Superchips tuner flash the truck back to stock before using EFILive? Have you tried flashing the stock tune back in to see if the problem persists?

sounds like perhaps Your tuner did not set the speedometer and ABS pulses per mile correctly. This can happen if he did not download your stock tune first and base you new one off of that. Super easy fix if you have stock sized tires.

I took the superchips tune out of it a few months before we efi live tuned it.
I have 33" tires on it and I know that he put in the tire size, but it is off by 2.5mph all over the speedo, at 30 the speedo reads 32-33, at 60 the speedo reads 62-63. I have 2 separate GPS modules and one says 2mph higher and the other 3mph higher.

The speedometer and the Pulses pre mile need to both be changed, or the ABS and brake system will throw a fit. My guess is that he changed the speedometer section of the tune, but not the pulses pre mile. What happens is the ECM reads the speed from the speed transducer on the transfer case, while the ABS system reads the speed from the reluctors in the front wheel bearings for front anti-lock, and also recieves the speed form the ECM/speed transducer for rear anti-lock. If these readings vary above a certain percent for a set amount of time then the system throws codes.
