...my friends dad has a 1998 Dodge Ram 2500 12v Cummins with the 5 speed manual 4x4 regular cab, long bed. It has some new issues that I was hoping someone can help point to the problem area(s). From what I have been told, the ABS light is on, the speedometer is not functioning, and the cruise control is not working. I believe that when the ABS light came on, they owner went searching and found an ABS plug to be unplugged at the differential (?). Plugged it back in and shortly after (I don't know a time frame) the cruise and the speedometer went out. They may not be related, just the info I have. Has anyone seen this or can anyone help. IIRC, the only mod is a straight pipe. Sounds badass too! Thanks for the help!:help2:

I think all that works through the speed sensor in the rearend. I would say bad speed sensor or maybe a broken wire?

I agree, rear wheel speed sensors.

The issue ended up being a broken wire at the sensor. Was repaired and everything is now operating as normal.
