Am thinking about putting an e-locker in the front of my 06 before winter. Question i have is can it be wired to dis-engage when i push the button to dis-engage 4x4 and still use a seperate button to engage or dis-engage with out leaving 4x4. Also can you engage the locker at speed or do you need to be stopped.

You can wire it so it engages with the activation of your 4x4 but the only problem with that is do you want the front end locked everytime your in 4WD. There are instances where a locked front end might be a hinderance, like going around a corner on a slippery surface. The best way is to wire the e-locker separate from your 4x4 selector, that way you have more control over when you want the front end locked. You can engage or disengage the e-locker while moving as long as your speed does not exceed 3mph, however the best way to lock or unlock it is when your not moving.

Thats what i was afraid of. lol I was wanting to be able to engage or dis-engage separately but also if i forgot to dis-engage it would do so when i took it out of 4x4 but not engage when putting in 4x4. I had some type of an air locker in a jeep that you could engage up to about 45 mph. When activated it would slide a sleeve over the axle thus locking the axle in. Some times it would clunk when lining up. Thanks for the response.
